What happens when my trial ends?

During your trial, you will qualify for a membership tier as soon as your Qualifying Balance reaches the required threshold, at which point you’ll continue with the features and benefits of the tier you’ve qualified for. If you haven’t yet qualified for a tier at the end of the trial period, your assets stay under your control and you can send them at any time, but access to other platform features will be paused.

What happens if my balance falls below my tier’s minimum?

If your Qualifying Balance is below the required minimum for the tier you’re on, you’ll move to the appropriate tier. Once you’ve qualified for Core, however, Core membership is yours for life, regardless of how your balance changes.

Which assets count toward my Qualifying Balance?

All eligible assets held in your Bron accounts contribute to your Qualifying Balance, based on their current market value. Some assets may be excluded where a reliable market value is not available, while others may count at a multiple of their market value.

Your Qualifying Balance can also grow through the people you bring to Bron. When you invite someone to join the platform, their Qualifying Balance contributes towards yours, helping you reach the next membership tier faster as your network grows.

You’ll be able to see your Qualifying Balance, including these contributions, and your current tier when you log in to the app and view your profile.

Do I need to lock my assets?

No. Your assets remain in self-custody under your control and available for you to use, transfer, swap or send at all times. There is no lock-up period simply because assets contribute to your Qualifying Balance. Once you’ve reached the minimum threshold for a Core tier, that tier is yours for life.

What is Qualifying Balance, and how does it work?

Your Qualifying Balance is the value used to determine your Bron membership tier. It includes all assets held across your Bron accounts, including some which are counted with a multiple.

As your Qualifying Balance grows, you can move into higher tiers and access additional benefits. If it falls, your tier may adjust accordingly but you will always have access to the Core tier, as well as any additional accounts you opened from a higher tier.

Why does Bron have a Qualifying Balance?

Bron uses MPC technology originally developed to protect digital assets at institutional scale. Unlike conventional seed phrase wallets, MPC requires sophisticated infrastructure to operate and maintain.

Advances in the technology have made it possible to bring this level of security to individual users, but not at the economics of a free wallet. Rather than compromise the platform or monetise users in other ways, Bron uses a Qualifying Balance to determine membership. When your Qualifying Balance reaches a value of $10,000 you’ll gain access to the Core tier, which will be yours for life regardless of balance fluctuations.
